Appalachian Clogging Classes

Learn Appalachian clogging, percussive dancing to the driving rhythms of old time music. This country cousin to tap is a great way to have fun while exercising! It’s a uniquely American dance which has Celtic, African and Cherokee roots that go way back in Southern Appalachia. Suitable for teens & adults, instruction is by Peggy Leiby.

Clogging technique and fun steps each week - newcomers are always welcome!!

Saturdays Noon - 1:30pm, weather permitting

Aug 3, 10, 17, 24 ~ no class on 31st ~ Sept tba

Basics to Beyond the Basics, you choose your timing:

  • 12:00 - 12:30: Basics level taught - newcomers are always welcome
  • 12:30 - 1:00: Basics & Beyond the Basics - everyone dances together
  • 1:00 - 1:30: Beyond the Basics - where footwork is at a higher level

Location

With a real nice wooden floor, the classes are held in my barn near Ambler, PA. The location information will be provided by email.

Cost

The cost is $10 for however long you stay on any of the days you’re able to attend, and down to $8 each if you pay for 3 dates in advance.

You can pay on-site with cash, check or Venmo.
