Appalachian Clogging Classes in 2020:
We hold classes every Saturday afternoon unless otherwise noted.
Here's how we've handled two experience levels lately, and have found it works well
- 1:00 - 1:30: Basics level taught - newcomers are always welcome!!
- 1:30 - 2:00: Basics & Beyond the Basics - everyone dances together
- 2:00 - 2:30: Beyond the Basics where teaching is at a higher level
Allens Lane Art Center
Allens Lane & McCallum Street, Phila., PA 19119, (directions, includes walking from Allens Lane Septa station)
$8 each if at least three are paid in advance, or $10 for 1 at a time
with instruction by Peggy Leiby & Pat McGrath, we expect to occasionally break into two groups to provide special attention for different experience levels!!
More about Appalachian Clogging?
Learn Appalachian clogging, percussive dancing to the driving rhythms of old time music. This country cousin to tap is a great way to have fun while exercising! It’s a uniquely American dance which has Celtic, African and Cherokee roots that go way back in Southern Appalachia. Suitable for teens & adults.
