Whoop it up with FiddleKicks!

FiddleKicks brings Appalachian clogging to life with a whoop and a holler! Performed to the driving rhythms of live old-time music, this uniquely American dance form celebrates the convergence of Celtic, African and Cherokee cultures in southern Appalachia.

Additionally, FiddleKicks performs a variety of other traditional percussive dance forms, creating a lively and entertaining multi-cultural experience.

Performance feedback:

April 2024 FiddleKicks presented a varied and wonderful introduction to the world of Appalachian music and dance (with a bit of Morris, Cape Breton and English wood shoe thorwn in), and patrons loved it! Biggest program attendance I've had in quite awhile and I heard nothing but positive comments for weeks afterwards. (Adult services and Technology Librarian at the William Jeanes Memorial Library

December 2021 I have heard many, many positive comments about your dancing. People really liked it. One person said it was the best presentation at a meeting since she joined 6 years ago. (A board member of The Outdoor Gardeners of Chestnut Hill)

June 2016 As I made my rounds after the event, I heard nothing but great comments about the band and dancers!! (The presenter at The Strawberry Festival at Haldeman Mansion)

Spring 2015 Thanks so much...!! You guys were great! (an email from a presenter)

Fall 2013 Our residents have been talking about your performance all morning!!!!! That was definitely the best performance we have had in a while! (from email received from their Life Enrichment Manager)
